Job Description

Job Summary:The Jira Developer will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of Jira software for the organization. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain Jira workflows, custom fields, screens, dashboards, and plugins that support the organizations business processes and requirements.˙Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Jira workflows, custom fields, screens, dashboards, and plugins to support the organizations business processes and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design Jira solutions that meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain Jira integrations with other systems and tools, such as Confluence, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
  • Configure and maintain Jira permissions, roles, and security settings.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Jira users and administrators.
  • Stay up-to-date with Jira software updates, new features, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain Jira documentation, including user guides, technical documentation, and training materials.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and retrospectives, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
˙Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Jira development and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira workflows, custom fields, screens, dashboards, and plugins.
  • Excellent programming skills in Java, JavaScript, and Groovy.
  • Experience with Jira APIs and integrations with other systems and tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
