Develop a robust & fit for purpose HSEQ Organization in all businesses and at the corporate level to achieve HSEQ deliverables.
Ensure compliance of HSEQ across the group as per corporate policies, management procedures, legislative requirements and industry best practices. Maintenance of effective HSSE Management System covering activities within the group.
Implement proactive Safety culture thorough out organisation by focusing more on proactive Indicators (reporting & assessing of NM/PI?s, Trainings & behavioural improvements, Journey management ? regular updates of route hazards), Inspections, trend analysis, meetings etc.) and reactive Indicators (reduction of LTI?s, spills & Incidents).
Develop & maintain an emergency response system.
Ensure that HSEQ register & HSE risk assessments are conducted to monitor and measure current executions and escalate as necessary resources requirements to the GM.
Design and delivery of safety training to different business units as per nature of their operation. As & when required involve the specialised Training resources to strengthen HSEQ trainings.
Promote safety awareness throughout the company by developing, establishing and promoting various HSE initiatives, arranging safety committee meetings, field visits as per plan, best practices & Incident sharing in the entire network, audits, Incident investigations and standardization of practices etc.
Conduct periodical review of HSE KPIs with the country managers and take corrective measures where necessary to ensure that the operation is being executed within the stipulated parameters.
Ensure that superior quality operations are maintained to ensure maximum audit conformance during various customer / certification body audit exercises by carrying out planned internal audits and bridging gaps where necessary.
Lead regional initiatives for the compliance / certification on national and international Standards (e.g. SAQs, DQA, etc.) to maintain company policy on global excellence w.r.t. to operations and quality standards through maintenance and improvement of Integrated Management Systems based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, ISO 39001 standards.
Provide technical advisory to Operations Team and HR team in HSE target setting for respective units.
Keep abreast of best practices in the logistics and supply chain industry and provide necessary technical leadership to staff for enhancing their organizational capability.
Develop sustainability strategy and business cases that support long term strategic objectives of the company.
In charge of data gathering and simulating the annual sustainability report for the group.
Take the lead in initiating innovative solutions for improving the business outlook on suitability. Responsible for sustainability initiatives through employee engagement, community engagement and environmental programs.
Conduct gap analysis of company?s current position for attainability of excellence and quality awards and certifications
Ensure that the company stakeholders are well informed with the groups sustainability initiatives.
Take steps to expand employee awareness and training around sustainability to grow their knowledge of sustainability issues, sharpen their skills and inspire new, sustainable thinking across our business.
Drive new and innovative Safety and CSR measures to promote the company core values and achieve the strategic aims cascaded, thus promoting better image of the company.
Ensure that there is uniformity in application of all standards and processes across the region thus maintaining same quality of operations irrespective of location.
