Perform the assigned duties as per the set policies and procedures in order to achieve the department goals.
Execute the approved HSE policies and procedures, plans and programs in the plant.
Develop health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
Align with the latest health and safety techniques standards and accordingly recommends updating policies and procedures.
Develop plants safety analyses or other plant risk management methods to control high risk activities.
Identify potential conditions and practices in systems, equipment, machines or processes to be used in plant and develop methods for managing such conditions.
Conduct random health and safety checks in the plant to ensure compliance with the health and safety policies and guidelines based on the set plans.
Participate in the investigation of health and safety incidents and ensure effective investigation, analysis and reporting of all health and safety incidents.
Ensure incidents are reported to the concerned manager if any and indicating the recommended course of action.
Assist in the implementation measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents after coordination with the concerned manager.
Report non-compliance with the health and safety policies and guidelines along with recommended rectification actions.
Apply and use the HSE tools, forms, and mechanisms needed to gather data and information.
Develop the relevant health and safety reports including the incidents that occurred, the recorded time & place of the incident and the recommended course of action.
Develop safety programs in the plants; that include ensuring the availability of safety manuals, hazardous area instructions, safety materials, safety publications, and posters.
Gather and compile data generated from inspection visits and discuss them with the concerned parties.
Evaluate plant commitment to ensure providing a safe work environment.
Prepare and submit update reports to the direct manager regularly.
Any other tasks related to the job assigned by the direct manager.
