Job Title: Cost AccountantIndustry: Oil & Gas / ContractingCompany: Alarji Contracting CompanyJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our Oil & Gas contracting operations. The role will be responsible for cost control, budgeting, project cost analysis, and financial reporting to support effective project execution and management decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control project costs for Oil & Gas and contracting projectsPrepare cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for ongoing and new projectsAnalyse material, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor costsTrack project profitability, cost variances, and margin analysisPrepare monthly cost reports and MIS for management reviewCoordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, and Site TeamsEnsure proper allocation of costs to projects and cost centresSupport invoice verification, variation orders, and claimsAssist in audits and ensure compliance with company and client requirementsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or CommerceProfessional qualification such as CMA / CIMA / ICMA / ACMA preferredMinimum 4-5 years of experience in Cost Accounting within Oil & Gas or contracting industryStrong knowledge of project costing, budgeting, and variance analysisProficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systemsFamiliarity with ARAMCO or major Oil & Gas client projects is an advantageSkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesGood communication and coordination skillsStrong understanding of contracting and project-based costingLocationSaudi Arabia
