Job Description

Job SummarySupervise all on-site Civil Engineering activities in the project, dealing with suppliers and assigning work to his relevant Field Engineers and Labors and prepare work schedule for all activity of the Civil Engineering work in the project. In addition, ensure that the quantities used in the project are per the plan.Job Duties

  • Implement the assigned duties based on the set policies and procedures in order to achieve the department goals.
  • Review the designs and ensure to include: cast in place concrete, pre-cast concrete, post tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, deep and shallow foundations, retaining walls, and structural lateral systems including slabs, beams, and columns and all types of suspended structures in various materials? etc.
  • Oversee and implement structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
  • Provide technical feedback, interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, reports.
  • Prepare work schedule for all Civil activities of the project in line with the project detailed plan in coordination with the Project Manager and the Planning Engineer.
  • Supervise all on-site Civil activities by monitoring the work performed, the material incorporated the manpower and equipment.
  • Manage quality control and safety matters on the site and ensure that the sub-contractor follows the agreed upon quality and safety procedures related to the Civil work in the project.
  • Provide solutions and recommendations to unexpected Civil technical difficulties/obstacles in his area of expertise as needed.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the development of the periodical progress report related to the Civil work in the project.
  • Monitor the sub-contractors progress and ensure their conformance with all provisions of contracts, Civil construction activities, correct Civil work methods, quality and safety standards.
  • Manage and maintain the filing and archiving activities of all documents related to the Civil work in the project and ensure the proper and appropriate access to them as needed.
  • Maintain adherence to all document control procedures to ensure complete documentation of Civil work within the project.
  • Provide guidance to all subordinates to ensure effective and efficient flow of work, and ensure all employees recognize their fundamental role.
  • Monitor the adherence of subordinates to the function?s guidance, policies and procedures and time.
  • Any other tasks related to the job assigned by the direct manager
