Business Development DirectorJob Location:? ? ? ? ? ?Chennai , Dubai or Iraq?Required Headcount:Chennai, India1 - Piping1 - Civil & Structural1 - Electrical & Instrumentation1 - Static Equipment1 - Rotating Equipment1 - Lifting Engineer?Dubai, UAE1 - Piping1 - Electrical & Instrumentation1 - Static Equipment?Iraq1 - Piping?SUMMARYEstimation engineer is a key point of contact for clients and provide both pre- and after-sales advice including commercial and technical proposal development, contract administration, project execution, purchasing, and ensure that all contractual, international and local authority requirements for quality and safety are considered and met. Work closely with the Business Development and Operation Team and liaise regularly with other department such as procurement and accounting.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review Tender Documents, raise necessary clarifications and close coordination with Client to identify the actual scope of the project.
  • Review project specifications, Bill of Quantities, drawings and other project related documents in coordination with Engineering Dept./ Construction Dept. and conducting pretender meeting and site visit in Iraq (if required) as per the project requirements.
  • Perform Risk and Opportunity Identification and Assessment, value management and cost control at pre-bid for the compliance matrix and after contract award and update after completion of the project.
  • Active coordination with all concerned departments (Engineering, Contracts, Construction, Procurement etc.), to submit the proposal with in Client requirement and submission deadline.
  • Raise inquiries for materials & sub-contractors, review quotes when returned.Preparing Comparison Sheets and price evaluation.
  • Coordination/Discussions with Construction Dept. for accurate manpower inputs.Preparation of final cost proposal with possible competitive alternative proposals considering cost saving aspects for Management Discussions and Decision.
  • Work closely with Business Development team and maintain awareness on upcoming projects, timelines & market information.
  • Regular discussions with Technical teams for the best solution to meet customer criteria considering the quality and market competency.
  • Building close relationships internally and externally to develop opportunities for the Company
