Job Description

JOB PURPOSETo prepare repair estimates for the accident vehicles. To Professionally maintain the compromise between the body shop interest as profit center, insurance companies as regular customer who seeks for lower repair cost & the vehicle owner expectations of high quality of repair regardless the cost.JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES / CONTENT:

  • Body shop marketing ideas implement and ensure their success.
  • Develop good human relations and understanding with co-workers. Provide job related assistance and advice from time-to-time. Ensures he is updated on policies and systems and provides on-the-job training to the co-workers voluntarily.
  • Recognize each team members capability, assign jobs accordingly for greater effectiveness, monitor progress of team members, and recommend equipment and procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency, liaise with external support agencies, up-date co-workers knowledge and make decisions to the benefit of customers, staff and management.
  • Ensure customers get personal and quick attention. Vehicles are delivered on promised time and job done explained to the customer. Thoroughly understand and deliver customers needs and demands. Take charge of difficult customers and handle them to their satisfaction.
  • Prepare and negotiate body repair estimates that ensure maximum Customer Retention and profitability.
  • Explain repair job scheduled to be carried out to customer. Verify customers report of damages with on-vehicle checks. Determine if a repair is eligible for warranty. Carry out pre-diagnostic questioning regarding the problem. Ensure condition of vehicle is thoroughly checked, discrepancies noted and communicated to customer.
  • Clearly explain to the customer the jobs done, parts consumed and cost incurred, along with satisfactory justification. Carry out post-service follow-up to remind next service due.
  • Undergo thorough knowledge of AUTO-LINE system and understanding of company rules and procedures.
  • Proper planning of work, time management and meeting deadlines successfully, guaranteeing that promises made to customer are met.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, cash / cheque handling etc. Negotiate effectively to Meet Companys and Customers objectives, ensuring that final invoice is in line with that agreed with Customer.
  • Obtain customer approval for additional jobs and advise shop floor accordingly. Inform customer when car ready or if delayed. Establish rapport with customers. Explain to customer technical aspects of a vehicle in simple language.
  • Develop good communication and co-operation between reception and shop floor
