This position is accountable for the implementation of Well Engineering processes with respect to quality and integrity assurance. Reviews and maintains HMS processes to ensure the management system remains up-to-date with industry best practices. Responsible for approval of Well Designs/Programs and ensures these are in compliance with contracts, as well as, the Company’s HMS policies & procedures. Ensures all Operational Activities are adequately evaluated and a full Risk Matrix table with Mitigation plans is completed. Responsible for resolving critical engineering/operational issues, identifying chronic problems and proposing solutions, ensuring optimum technical solutions for field project development, and compliance with all Project/Contract metrics. Coordinates engineering programs and practices among different Projects/Rigs. Supports development of new technology and champions the application and deployment of the same. Leads technical presentations to client. Provides work direction and mentorship on a regular basis to Engineers. Operates with significant level of technical and/or operational independence in all assigned areas. Typically requires a Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering, and 15+ years experience as a Well Engineer with knowledge of drilling & completions operations and techniques.
