Oversee and supervise daily warehouse operations including coordination of work between internal and external departments (such as proper inventory control, proper releasing of materials to requestors/cargos to other agents, and timely submission of documents to Logistics/Procurement Division.
Supervise and approve receipt, issuance, transfer processes, reports, and vouchers.
Ensure that all policies in place governing system entries, processes, internal/external documentation, and records are tactically adhered to. Make recommendations for both obsolete and required policies.
Make recommendations, and assist with developing warehouse policies and administrative procedures; identify areas of improvement, propose innovation, and keep abreast of changes in warehousing trends and technologies.
Ensure compliance with all the legal and storekeeping procedures and standards
Supervise and advice warehouse staff in issues related to training in related job responsibilities.
Delegate and supervise workloads and assignments to ensure completion of tasks.
Coordinate activities and communicate accurate warehouse information to related departments.
Collaborate with the procurement department on matters relating to scheduling of deliveries, available storage capacity, receipts of ordered materials, documentation, recommendation of quantities to order etc.
Study and report inventory levels of current stock to develop information trail essential to changes or adjustments of purchasing programs that facilitate access to supplies, delivery planning, and stock management.
Recommend for purchase or replacement of equipment not included in capital outlay budgets but requiring replacement during the year.
Recommend estimates for an orderly replacement of existing movable stocks as they become obsolete or deteriorate.
Provide support to staff on issues above officer levels i.e.: disputes; negotiations; and other technical matters requiring a higher level of expertise and experience.
Evaluate the performance of storekeepers, labors, and drivers and provide training as needed.
Discipline and conduct disciplinary action as required.
Plan and approve drivers? and labors? vacation and time-off requests.
Report complaints against raw materials / finished goods and take appropriate action.
Monitor of MHE utilization, recommend maintenance services and update the technical department on the status of equipment.
Implement, supervise, and maintain health and safety programs across all warehouses and applicable to all warehouse manpower.
Supervise the housekeeping of the warehouse.
Manage the hold warehouses and ensuring the held materials are marked, segregated, and traceable. Supervise disposal of rejected/ obsolete packaging materials.
Prepare a variety of periodic reports.
Perform other related duties assigned by the Line Managers.
