Thats why we need you, to help us tackle increasingly complex challenges posed by ever evolving health and well-being needs.You are responsible for (but not limited to)* Develop modality-specific drawing templates, Standard Reference Drawings (SRDs) and Preferred Room Layouts (PRLs) for their responsible modalities; Imaging systems include architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical sheets and patient monitoring equipment, including architectural layout, network design and coverage, for customer specific sites. * Scope, create, compile and revise room designs as requested. * Proficient in more than 1 modality however, is focused on primary responsible modalities in the Planning Specialist role. * Creates and supports plans in a cross-modality capacity and provides complex multi-modality solutions. * Communicates with multiple groups to resolve specific customer project requirements. * Consults with Planners in the design of imaging center/ department layouts. * Plan daily/weekly work to meet due dates and prioritize tasks to support Philips business. * Analyze and reason through complex problems and develop innovative solutions. * Provides advice and guidance to others on complex problems. * Resolves complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently. * Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them, involving others as required. * Explain documents, plans and key points in discussions with all stakeholders at all levels * Archives projects upon completion according to established procedures and standards. * Serve as modality planning subject matter expert for responsible modalities, develop reference materials related to modalities/site preparation planning and serve as liaison to the Factory/Business Units/Other Hubs for responsible modalities.* Create and support plans for combination modality units, working with other Planning Specialist colleagues and Factory/Business Units/Other hubs and/or Division representatives. * Work with representatives of the Factory/Business Units//Other hubs and/or Division representatives for their assigned modalities in the early stages of product rollout and planning in NAM. * Training for Project Managers, Planners and external parties (MIV, General Contractors, Architects, strategic business partners, etc.) for responsible modalities. * Conduct training of new hires to acclimate them and test them in their specialty area. * Provide updates on changes relevant to current projects and future projects, to ensure that disruption to customer projects is kept to a minimum. * Perform error calibrations and FPY countermeasures. * Coordinate and attend site visits for Philips Imaging equipment with planners as available during equipment installation. * General understanding of building codes and associated regulations (such as AHCA, OSHPD, NEC, ADA). * Adheres to and recommends improvements in the Philips Quality Management System and Site Planning methodologies. * Leads Planning process improvement initiatives with ad hoc team members.You are a part of a teamThis position is a part of our Global Business Services group responsible for leading operational execution, reducing complexity and increasing efficiencies as the in-house team that continuously improves performance to better support our customers. We are looking to expand our team in of passionate, inspirational, collaborative and diverse professionals that is powering excellence around the world for Philips to achieve our mission to improve the lives of 3B people a year by 2025.To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience* Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business or Associates degree preferred; Completion of a technical school program is also acceptable.* Revit and/or AutoCAD experience is required. * 3+ years of experience in Drafting/Design, experience in medical devices a plus.* Strong skills in interpreting diagnostic equipment technical requirements.* Strong leadership and teamwork skills.* Strong work management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.* Excellent written and oral communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide consulting service.* Deals effectively with multiple pressing work demands, producing quality work on time. * Ability to read and understand construction drawings; applying basic drafting and CAD standards. * Ability to thrive in a self-directed work environment required - initiative, follow-up, flexible work style and ability to adapt are important elements of the position.* Able to diagnose situations, understand broad contexts, identify interrelationships, and define courses of action to support Site Planning and Global Business Services goals. * Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems. * Understands basic concepts of Quality Management and Lean principals. Must also have the knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and work instructions related to this job function. * Proficient in the use of available software tools and internal systems to effectively achieve results.
