It is a global Product & Engineering function focused on accelerating Mastercard low-cost acceptance and enhancing the offering of innovative Mastercard payment experiences for consumers, merchants, acquirers, MNOs, FinTechs, and other stakeholders across the entire payment value chain.The team is being formed with the vision to ?Make Mastercard the Best Way to Pay in Emerging Markets?. This can be achieved by being the best payment solution provider for Mobile Operators, for banks scaling in Emerging Markets, for FinTech and for governments trying to achieve financial inclusion. Also, by being the most convenient and scalable payment solution for P2M (paying a merchant, utility provider, government) for P2P (paying a friend, family) or to get paid. Therefore, making Mastercard relevant and scaled in the 100+ countries where plastic card + POS terminal on a 4-party interchange model hasn?t made an impact or reached critical mass over the last 50 years.QR is a promising form factor being quickly adopted by consumers and businesses that can trigger many payment use-cases with enhanced user experiences away from plastic card + POS terminal payment mode.The RoleManager, QR Product Development and Innovation will support the expansion of our strategy for low-cost acceptance via global and regional innovators, to make Mastercard relevant and scaled in established or emerging markets. The team member will:?Analyse the different markets, segments to understand the gaps in our product set and support in the development of products and solutions to reach 1) relevance, 2) scalability and 3) competitive advantage?Expand both Push and Pull QR as well as integration with adjacent acceptance rails like P2P and SRC?Review the existing and available products and solutions and work together with the regional Product and Market Development teams to scale them or improve them?Analyse best practices, support the markets with techniques and proven methods to scale the products faster?Review, challenge and consolidate the market and segment needs to feed product design and development with the most impactful and scalable product concepts and constructs?You will also support the building and/or strengthening of partnerships with third-party local/regional QR solution providers to enable interoperable, global relevance for acquirers, telcos, payments innovators, merchants, and consumers to enable wide-scale distribution models.All About YouWe are looking for a person who is passionate about the above stated vision and mission and who has strong proven experience in:-Experience with multiple markets, emerging markets, and innovative solutions-Entrepreneurial and a creative thinker to solve business and technology challenges that arise-Understands the existing core & digital Mastercard products on a high level and has experience in implementing, launching, or scaling them-Experience in Product Management with understanding of the Product Life Cycle Management-Technology background for interfacing with multiple technology rails - this can include experience with MoneySend, MPQR, MC Mobile, MasterPass, digital wallets, HomeSend, Transfast, MNO deals or has worked at a Mobile Operator Mobile Money department-Is a strategic thinker and has strong execution track record-Able to influence executive management and drive strategic alignment-Deep knowledge of payment methods, devices and relevant standards and standards bodies, e.g., EMVCo and PCI stakeholders-Confident communicator and networker, with excellent story-telling skills-It?s an advantage if the candidate has worked or lived in multiple geographies, both in developed and emerging marketsCOVID-19 Considerations We value the safety of each member of our community because we know we?re all in this together.In many locations, which may change over time, we?ve implemented a virtual hiring process and continue to interview candidates by video or phone.
