Jumia offers unique opportunities in a vibrant and booming environment, creating new jobs, new skills, and empowering a new generation. * To be able to collaborate with Stakeholders, Tech Leads and other Product Owners to analyze, assess, scope, determine and provide strategic product vision * Lead the product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities * Ability to learning various in-house systems and tools to become a subject matter expert and to be able to make educated and strategic decisions especially with cross team/product features * Envision product evolution and ability on breaking it down within smaller deliverables/phases * Excellent presentation and documentation skills to reinforce product vision, goals and strategy to share deliverables to various teams and stakeholders * Strong communication and stakeholder expectations management skills * Partnering with Product Management and business stakeholders to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value, ROI and relevant OKRs * Facilitate, coach and lead other Product Owners by acting as a mentor and assisting them in career progression. * Providing vision and direction to the Agile Product/development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements in the forms of Roadmaps, Epics, Themes and Stories * Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals * Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum best practices and values What you will be doing:Requirements:* 3-5 year(s) experience working as a Product Owner in a technology environment * Solid Agile experience * Understanding of technology, language and applications * Proven ability to define a set of requirements that pinpoint business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to address them * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and the business teams * Experience supporting/rolling out initiatives to commercial teams * Experience with demand generation, account/territory management, opportunity management and contact management capabilities, functionality and workflowsExpected personal skills :* Action oriented and results oriented * Strong analytical skill * Strong inter-personal skills * Fast learner * Well organized * Resistant to stress * Very independent with a strong ability to go further than the expectationsWe Offer* A unique experience in an entrepreneurial, yet structured environment * A unique opportunity of having strong impact in building the African ecommerce sector * The opportunity to become part of a highly professional and dynamic team * An unparalleled personal and professional growth as our longer-term objective is to train the next generation of leaders
