Duties and responsibilities? Responsible for plans, organizes and manages the procurement process for allprojects.? Ensures that the procurement process is in adherence to company and clientrequirements, company policies and procedures to ensure successful delivery ofproject requirements.? Interface with the other departments and vendors for all matters related to theprocurement of Projects materials, equipment and services scope.? Responsible for all Procurement activities associated with the effectivepurchasing of Project.? Build strong and lasting relationships with the associated vendor base.? Prepare, maintain and review purchasing records, produce management reports,track the status of requisitions, contracts and orders, approve bills for payment,? Calculate the cost of orders, assign invoices to the appropriate accounts, andmonitor in-house inventory transfer for project consumption. The procurementmanager also determines if inventory quantities for commonly used items aresufficient for the needs of the company and orders more supplies as needed.? Conduct research via the Internet, catalogues, trade publications, and trade showsto identify potential suppliers.? Interview prospective suppliers either face-to-face or over the phone to determineprices, discounts, terms, etc.? Create spreadsheets with vendor & product or service comparisons of prospectivesuppliers to support management decisions? Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files and records, price lists, the status ofrequisitions, contracts and orders, locate suppliers, approve bills for payment,monitor subcontractor performance, calculate the cost of orders, ensure invoicesare charged to the appropriate accounts, and monitor inventory transfer forms forbookkeeping records.? Prepare procurement execution plans and oversee the full array of materialsmanagement and procurement functions of purchasing, expediting, shipping.? Develop plans for the effective organization and temporary storage of projectmaterials and general inventories at various company and/or independentwarehouse locations.? Coordinate with the warehouse minimum stock and maximum stock? Negotiation with the suppliers to reach for the best prices
