/ / Senior Legal Counsel, North Africa Franchise (NAF)Location:Cairo, Al Qahirah EGJob ID:R-73134Time Type:Full timeJobType:FullTimeRelocation:NoPost Date:June 15, 2022Senior Legal Counsel, North Africa Franchise (NAF)Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:Position Overview:The position is for a legal counsel to join the North Africa Franchise (?NAF?) of The Coca-Cola Company to provide legal support and advice across the various functions within the Business. * Providing general legal and business, advice on a case by case basis to the business (all functions) including on strategies and plans to be executed, developing recommendations regarding important legal issues, analyzing legal issues affecting multiple jobs* Drafting contracts, memoranda and other documents of a contractual nature, whether binding on the Company or not. Negotiating the terms with related parties to minimize Company?s legal risks* Coordinating and managing litigation matters involving the Company with outside counsel and making every effort to prevent litigation* Act as a center of expert on anti-trust matters for the region counsels and conduct trainings, design manuals to ensure compliance with competition regulations* Acting as Local Ethics Officer supporting E&C Office and conducting internal trainings on a variety of areas to help foster a strong culture of compliance and good governance within the business* Creative ways of approaching issues, processes and policies and offering solutions and improvements where necessary* Collaborating with the Trademark Team and Corporate legal in order to protects Intellectual property rights of the Company, upon investigating the plans with teams* Handling general secretary work of representation offices and protecting Company?s interest at Bottlers where it has shares in* Work closely with legal department of Bottler/s to support them to be in compliance with Company policies and implement routines to ensure system alignment and governanceEducation Requirements:* Undergraduate Degree. * LLB Degree and/or Equivalent Legal Qualification; and * Admitted Attorney.Related Work Experience:* 6 years post qualification experience practicing law (Admitted to practice law). * Corporate/commercial in-house experience and knowledge of intellectual property, trademark and competition laws are desirable.Functional Skills:* Legal Advice: Ability to develop and effectively communicate sound legal advice and/or analysis, including the suggestion of alternative business solutions and best practices while considering clients role, objectives and risk tolerance. * Client Objectives and Risks: Ability to determine and understand client objectives and risk tolerance. Includes knowledge of methods and/or techniques used to determine to identify objectives or risk tolerance and ability to incorporate the information in making legal decisions. * Manage Outside Counsel: Ability to determine appropriate role of outside counsel, including setting parameters for involvement.
