Radio Optimization Sr. specialist

Job Description

Purpose:- As part of a regional team he/she will get acquainted with and contribute to the different aspects of radio testing and optimization activities. Supporting the Radio optimization senior team leader with network analysis and recommendations of network actions, process improvements and maintaining the quality figures in the whole network from customer perception point of view as well as statistics point of view through daily monitoring of the network performance to identify problems that might affect the network quality and take the necessary action to reduce them.- Come up with initiatives to improve Radio optimization workflow Processes with external entities and cost saving initiatives as well.- Provide support to radio optimization team in the area of performance management and network fine-tuning.- Technical lead for major projects and trials related to introduction of new techniques/ vendors/ products.- Act as mentor and holding on job training for a group of optimization experts.Resources dimensioning, competency and set up:- Should be expert with functioning of all the Radio tools and databases as well as the guidelines and processes used within the department.- Familiar with 2G ,3G ,4G, VOLTE ,TDD, ,5G parameters and KPIs- Act as mentor to maintain radio network access without over providing the access layer capacity. This will be achieved by monitoring traffic trends and taking proactive measures such as recommending expansions of live sites and/or planning new sites.- Statistical analysis and deployment of new formulas using counters to assess network performance and identify problem areas for 2G ,3G ,4G, VOLTE ,TDD,5G.- Provide documents for investigating and troubleshooting steps for the reported problems.- Implement solutions that will improve network quality.- Provide technical solutions to enhance the network performance KPIs to be superior to that of the competitors- Develop new methodology for enhancing his areas performance- Set up technical strategy for tuning strategies and optimizations techniques- Investigate and troubleshoot the reported problems 2G 3G 4G, VOLTE,TDD,5G- Enhance the network performance KPIs to be superior to that of the competitors- Liaise with other departmental planners to ensure design and planning activities are lined up with the designed ones.- Provide visibility and keep record of all activities in the area of responsibility. Contribute to weekly reports of the teams activity.- Produce reports for management on radio network figures.- Mentoring new team members and get them merged within the team- Report the progress of new tools and software investigations and trials using new techniques- Capable of presenting new strategies in the relevant forums related to performance and optimization strategies- Education: A B.Sc. Degree In Electrical/Electronic Engineering from recognized university (required). Preference will be given to those with Telecommunication background.- Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years working experience, preferably in Radio optimization.- PC Knowledge: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including use of Access applications (Required).- Technical skills: Strong Background on mobile communication 2G 3G 4G, VOLTE network and radio optimization activities.- Personal skills: Creative thinking & Problem solving capability, Teamwork spirit, Communications skills to interact with other parties internally/externally. Good command of English language is expected.- Should develop new processes/ SLAs aiming at enhancing work process- The Engineer under guidance and support from other team members shall be familiar with functioning of all the Radio tools and databases as well as the guidelines and processes used within the department.
