The main purpose of this position is to participate in performing independent calculations and conceptual assessments of core physics; analyze thermal-hydraulic/ neutronic coupling with fuel and criticality, in line with ENRRA?s Integrated Management System.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in using neutronic calculation codes and modeling the core, in order to simulate the behaviour of physical parameters in the reactor core.Participate in developing regulations, guides and procedures related to neutronic assessment.Participate in the assessment of safety significant aspects of reactor core physics during the facility life time.Participate in performing the independent review of submitted documents related to safety significant aspects of core physics, to check that they are complete, appropriate in content, and comply with the established acceptance criteria.Participate in assessing the Safety Analysis Report (SAR) by checking that parts related to core physics reasonably demonstrate the safety in the design and operation of the nuclear reactor.Participate in neutronic assessments in the field of safety of Nuclear InstallationsParticipate as appropriate in any assessments of procedures for the commissioning and testing of safety systems.Participate in performing independent calculations and/or conceptual assessments to verify that the fuel stores at the nuclear installations are adequately subcritical, and to assess the radioactive inventory of the core and spent fuel ponds.Participate as appropriate in inspections related to neutronic assessment.Carry out other tasks assigned by the Head of Department/ Head of Sector.
