Job Description

Network Engineer | Group Technology & Digital Platform | Cairo, EgyptOverview of the roleTheÿNetwork Engineerÿwill provide technical expertise to support Network infrastructure. He/She will manage, operate, supervise, and implement all network infrastructure components and lastly, design, review, configure, project management network projects for all the business lines in Egypt.ÿWhat you will doApplication Integration:

• Deploy network solutions (LAN/WAN/WIFI/Security)
• Manage network infrastructure with Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls and access points.
• Handle Incidents and provide timely resolution with minimal business impact.
• Perform changes across the LAN and WIFI infrastructure.
• Perform software upgrade & hardware refresh of network devices.
• Supporting key projects to ensure successful completion of the projects.
• Report project activities and manage internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with other IT professionals in the organization, including L1 Network Engineers, Network Architects, and System Administrators. You would also collaborate with vendors and other third-party providers to support the organizations network needs.
• Providing support during IT and security Audit and any other compliance review
• Supplier management and coordination to resolve technical issues.
• Remote user / end user interaction to resolve technical issues.
• Provide support for IP Telephony system.
• Provide support for structured cabling network infrastructure.
• Vendor Management for network project implementation and to resolve network issues.

ÿIncident & Service Request Management

• Resolve assigned Incidents and Service requests within agreed SLA?s
• Responsible to handle business critical incidents, engaging vendor and coordinating with other teams for speedy resolution.
• ÿPrepare root cause analysis and implement remedial measures to avoid recurrence of the incident
• Assist cross functional team for speedy resolution of Incidents.

ÿContinuous Improvement Initiative

• Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing networks; develop and implement solutions for improving or further leveraging these systems
• Identify network equipment which are reaching end of support and plan to upgrade to newest model/versions.
• Periodic review of network capacity report and recommend upgrade.ÿ
• Conduct health check of networks, review reports and implement recommendations.
• Plan and Upgrade network to the latest versions.

Other Key Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation of network architecture and configurations
• Conduct periodic knowledge transfer session for Systems Engineers and other horizontal teams.
• Mentor and provide guidance to System Engineers
• Identify and provide mitigating options for Infrastructure related risks.
• Provide execution and delivery support related to Technology solution delivery.
• Plan and deliver network expansion for all businesses in Egypt in coordination with the IT head office in Dubai.
• Maintain the operations of the existing networks.
• Manage the network operations team to ensure smooth network operations and client issues resolved in timely manner.
• Work closely with network consultant and development teams to ensure network plans and designs are up to standards and meet the business requirements
