Job Description

˙1.0˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Job Summary:˙The Medical Auditor carries out audits of medical records, patients documents and draws attention to areas of weakness, such as : issues with efficiency, Fraud, and missing documentation to improve file consistency and patient process inside the facility.˙2.0˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Duties and Responsibilities:˙˙˙˙˙

  1. Checks the completion and accuracy of documentation related to insured patients.
  2. Ensures that the Organization complies with all regulatory requirements and identifies incomplete documentation that could affect that compliance.
  3. Identifies fraudulent claims, outliers, reimbursement deficiencies, inefficiencies, incorrect codes, and poor documentation to improve the legal status of the Organization if challenged by the government or insurance companies.
  4. Provides education to other healthcare professionals regarding correct documentation and detailed recommendations to improve the Organizations policies and procedures.
  5. Performs initial filtration of found medical discrepancies; conducts in depth analysis of the cases and decides on cases needed to be escalated.
  6. Undertakes new functions as they arise in areas related to medical documentation, medical data compliance and analysis.
