Overseas & Inhouse PackaginglocationsGiza, Egypt time typeFull time posted onPosted Today job requisition idJR-000093182The responsibilities for this position are broken down as follows: Local (applicable to the MEO only), Regional (applicable to GMIO) and Global (applicable across GM-defined regions)Local (80%)Ensure full engagement of the team and supporting function in the achievement of the Business Plan Deployment targets in safety, people, quality, responsiveness, cost, and environment, according to a standardized process using GMS tools.Ensure full compliance with GM safety and environmental standards, conduct regular tour and assessments.Review area score card, participate and/or lead the daily operations meetings to track key business results, manage changes and act on deviations with the suitable problem-solving tools.Develop new packaging design and/or parts distribution strategy that will drive for waste elimination and improved LMS scoresLead the packaging committee to approve new/modified inhouse or overseas packaging and/or containers through approval and change management processes.Review and approve overseas packaging, and support logistics for better container utilization.Manage overseas returnable cases loop size calculation and support production planning and logistics in weekly shipment and loop size confirmationManage all inhouse packaging maintenance process and ensure all preventive maintenance are in place.Lead Kaizen workshop, which responsible for inhouse racks maintenance / new design.Lead and coordinate changes for productive material Plan for Every Part.Conduct regular audit for packaging criteria compliance for inhouse containers.Coordinate Future Packaging readiness during new portfolio project execution activitiesRepresent the function in various activities or committees as required.Regional (15%)Update LMS wall and share best practices to local and reginal LMS leads through monthly regional LMS callsShare workshops results and coordinate packaging improvement initiative with source plant from ideation to complete implementationGlobal (5%)Attend monthly calls and act upon Global Packaging and sustainability requirements from LMS leadAbout GMOur vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.Why Join UsWe aspire to be the most inclusive company in the world.
