Job Description

Role purpose:Vodafone Business Platforms & Solutions - IoT Practice is primarily focused in delivering high quality solutions for Business IoT Customers. This role is responsible for the delivery of UI/UX design for IoT products. The design lead drives the overall design process directing designers and engineering in each step of the UX process, including project planning, discovery, user research and analysis, requirements definition, conceptual design, content planning, interaction planning, and interaction specification and UX standards. Design leads collaborate effectively with stakeholder from Vodafone Group, product, technology, and brand and marketing to bring structure, clarity and Customer focus to the design delivery for a channel or product.Key accountabilities and decision ownership:? Learn and understand key IoT use cases and UI/UX design considerations and translate unique requirements into a fully functional IoT implementation(s)? Will regularly work in agile mode with evolving requirements and will need to resolve platform and application performance issues for our Customers.? Act as an owner of various tasks associated with user research, UX design, content design, and visual design on both large and small scale solutions? Work independently or with a team of UX professionals to create assets that reflect a brand, enforce a language, and delight the user.? Involved with the project throughout the design and development cycle and works closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure standards of excellence.? Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps? Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets? Build app navigation buttons and search fields? Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how applications function and look likeCore competencies, knowledge and experience :

  • At least 7 years? experience in User Experience, commercial product and/or service development environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal, written and formal presentation formats
  • Exceptional ability to balance priorities and business / design trade-offs.
  • Excellent ability to influence and lead thinking up to executive and senior management levels
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
  • Strong and consistent user focus, demonstrated through putting the user and their needs ahead of features and technology. Mentor others in this area.
  • Technology grounding - sufficient high-level understanding to allow informed assessment of likely technology and terminal impact on User Experience design. Responsible for watching and reporting trends.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other design tools
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript will be considered as an asset
  • Experience with one or more of the following, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite
