Our Infrastructure Specialists are responsible for keeping up with these latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIncumbent works as a highly technical specialist, responsible for complex Rational software solutions for a variety of agency and program areas. Incumbent works with higher level management to plan project goals and is accountable for the quality of work performed. Work has a direct influence and impact on the agency ability to successfully administer the business operation, on management decisions and has an impact on an individual agency?s budget. Completed assignments are reviewed for compliance with policies, standards, procedure and achievement of the desired objectives.Personal Work Relationships:-Works with agency user community, agency management, and other department staff to define problems, system requirements and establish priorities and monitor progress to develop and maintain information systems. Incumbent works cooperatively with supervisor, manager, and other technical staff, agency personnel and other external business entities necessary for delivering successful information systems.Required Technical and Professional Expertise* Experience with OpenStack and cloud infrastructure solutions.* Experience with OpenStack components particularly Nova, Cinder, Glance, Swift and Neutron* Strong experience in cloud computing and virtualisation technologies* Experience with Kubernetes* Experience with IaaS & PaaS across Multiple Cloud providers (IBM, AWS, Azure)* Experience with Linux and KVM hypervisors* Knowledge of networking technologies and protocols and cybersecurity* Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with customers on a daily basis* Solid engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills* Experience with IaC and automation technologies like Ansible, Terraform etc* At least 2 years experience in technical consulting and / or cloud advisory* At least 4 years engineering experience in cloud, container platform and technologiesExperience with OpenShift and Ansible cloud solutions.* Experience with application development or application modernization using microservices* Knowledge of application architecture (application servers, integration patterns, microservices, JEE, CI / CD, build management etc.)* Knowledge of and experience with PaaS and Kubernetes* Experience with frameworks like SpringBoot, SpringCloud, or similar and JavaScript* Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with customers on a daily basis* Solid project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills* Experience with IaaSPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise* OpenStack administration certification (COA) is a plus* Kubernetes certification* Linux certification* Red Hat OpenShift certification is a plus
