Job Description

Job description:The infrastructure security engineer is ultimately responsible for designing and implementing security controls across systems and networks for all Integrant managed IT systems. The infrastructure security engineer will be responsible for the day to day running of the infrastructure, incident management and the ongoing design and implementation of Infrastructure security changes, patching and security enhancements.Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
  • Identify and define system security requirements
  • Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs
  • Maintain all the software and hardware in relation to security
  • Identify current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities and threats
  • Source and implement new security solutions to better protect the organization
  • Conduct proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies
  • Liaise with vendors to implement security solutions
  • Actively review, monitor and improve network infrastructure security, undertake a regular programmed of self-audit and base lining by utilizing the appropriate tools and in conjunction with formal audits as conducted by both Internal and external auditors.
  • Assist the Head of department - Places in developing long-term strategic plans and improving compliance and governance by implementing best security practices
  • Accountable for changes affecting the Internalexternal infrastructure and that such changes take place in a controlled and auditable manner.
  • Ensure that Integrant and its Customers systems meet the required service levels for availability, performance and integrity.
  • Communicate relevant project information to superiors.
  • Deliver engaging, informative and well-organized presentations.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Secure the internal Network, DMZ, and Published servers
  • Configure, Implement DLP solution
  • Detect and prevent any attacks that may threaten
  • Monitor the logs from security Servers, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/ Prevention andnetwork traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Systems Security:
  • Configure Windows and Linux host-based security as well as network and cloud-based security systems
  • Configure, implement, and maintain all security platforms and any other related software, such as anti-virus, routers, Anti-SPAM, switches, intrusion detection or intrusion prevention, firewalls
  • Configure, implement FortiGate & Cisco routers and switches
  • Configure, implement Cisco Access points and Wireless Controller
