Job Description

Main Job Purpose:The main purpose of this position is to manage the fulfillment of ENRRA?s responsibilities in the area of emergency preparedness and response in accordance with the Law no.7/2010 a (as amended) and its Executive Regulations, and in line with ENRRA?s Integrated Management System.Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and manage continuous radiological monitoring of nuclear facilities throughout the territory of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and receive respective information (indicators).
  • Set the general strategy, policy and management system for the chamber in light of ENRRA strategy and suggests the required improvement measures.
  • Manage the notification process in case of nuclear and radiological emergencies.
  • Participate in the establishment of rules and regulations related to nuclear and radiological emergencies.
  • Manage the coordination between the Supreme Committee of Nuclear and Radiological Emergency and the relative national response organizations.
  • Work as a national liaison between Egypt and IAEA and member states regarding the early notification and request assistance conventions.
  • In cooperation with the Center of Excellence, prepare the training plan for ENRRA employees and other national organizations as well as the intervention organizations in respect to emergency preparedness and response in light of ENRRA training plan.
  • In the event of a nuclear or radiological emergency, coordinate with other sectors and Departments of ENRRA, along with all other Chamber members.
  • Ensure prompt communication in compliance with emergency protocols based on the results of the radiological monitoring.
  • Carry out all other tasks assigned by ENRAR Vice Chairman/ Chairman.
