AUC is an English-medium institution.The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the area of: Organic/Medicinal/Bio Chemistry.The department desires to welcome a colleague who values teaching in a liberal arts and sciences environment and actively contributes to advising students, committee work, curricular and program development, and the design and integration of innovative teaching. The primary expectation of the faculty in this position will be contribution to teaching of graduate courses in the Chemistry MSc program as well as introductory and upper-level chemistry undergraduate courses, specifically Organic Chemistry lecture and laboratory courses as well as biochemistry. He/she is expected to supervise graduate and undergraduate students in their research theses and have international exposure in teaching and research pertinent to synthetic chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutics and drug development, and natural products.Requirements:A Fixed-Term Faculty PositionCandidates should hold a PhD or equivalent in Organic/Medicinal/Bio or a related domain. Successful candidates should have an ongoing program of research and publication, have strong leadership capability or potential and proven skills in high quality teaching. Mastery of the English language is required.
