. Develops the Department plans of activities, assigns duties to his subordinates, and guides their performance.2. Reviews, updates and documents procedures of safe working practices along with National, International and ISO requirements and advises on its implementation.3. Maintains HSE accident records & root cause analysis and those of dangerous occurrences, as well as any deviations and notify the same directly to departmental manager and/or facility management with full cooperation to set back the same in the right order.4. Ensures that practical and induction HSE training is provided for all new hired and 3rd party contractors.5. Liaises with all departments to ensure that there are sufficient employees trained in First Aid and that First Aid kits are available.6. Coordinates with Security Department to ensure that all fire fighting / environmental spill equipment is regularly inspected and serviced, and regular fire / spill control drills are carried out.7. Assure ISO requirements always updated and in use not only in place.8. Ensures the availability of HSE equipments for different production departments, quality labs and warehouses, with periodical checks for the implementation of safe and hygienic work methods.10. Evaluates the Department staff performance, identifies their training needs, and follows up the implementation of planned training activities to improve the service level.11. Performs any other related duties as and when required
