DevOps Engineer IIFrom applied research to advanced engineering, Dell Technologies CTO Team?s Technology Insights Group is solutions that together advanced technologies such as AI, cloud, data management, data science/engineering, and visualization. You will be involved in assessing the market, developing technology, products, and generating intellectual property. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.We are looking for a DevOps Engineer II with a strong background in highly scalable distributed systems and with experience working in an agile engineering team and a knack for researching new technologies. Candidates should display abilities to innovate and be creative.What you?ll achieveAs a DevOps Engineer II, you will take part in automating end to end Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) and improving the stability and reliability of our applications.You will:

  • Contribute to the effort on automation, CI/CD processes and tools to make our services simpler and more robust
  • Contribute towards CI/CD standardization within applications
  • Assess the existing tools and practices of software development and analyze the changes and requirements necessary to improve
  • Collaborate with the team and contribute to the automation of the software process to be more reliable and stable
  • Work closely with cross functional stakeholders to present updates and understand new requirements.
  • Provide management, maintenance, monitoring, automation, and infrastructure as code for microservices in an Agile DevOps environment
  • Define and implement actions for departmental or cross-functional process improvements

  • 2 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Hands on experience building CI/CD pipelines for mega projects
  • Experience in DevOps and automation tools and technologies
  • Advanced Linux knowledge with hands on experience with one or more distros (architecture, troubleshooting, filesystems, scripting, networking and security), and experience with more than one scripting language knowledge (ex: Bash, Python, Perl)
  • Experience in Agile development methodology
  • Familiar with containers/container orchestration platforms (Docker, K8s, Openshift)
  • Familiar with different security static code analysis tools, third party scanners, docker images scanners, security testing/penetration tests and different monitoring and logging stacks
Desirable Requirements
  • Software Engineering Development background
  • MLOps experience is a big bonus
  • Contribution to large open-source projects is a plus
