Description? To plan and maintain a reliable and highly available IT Data network infrastructure for all IT services across Vodafone Data Centres , VF Public Cloud, Call Centres, MTX sites, Retail stores & office buildings.Job ResponsibilityKey accountabilities and decision ownership : People Management:? Recruit, manage, motivate, and develop a team of skilled Data networks engineers? Define clear responsibilities and performance objectivesPlanning :? Prepare and track the team?s budget (CAPEX & OPEX) based on the department?s strategy and objectives? Assess new technologies & industry trends? Design & implement new initiatives & projects that serve the business needsOperations management:? Maintain & Support the IT Data network infrastructure to meet agreed upon SLAs? Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by team members? Communicate effectively with other teams and with internal customers (Retail, Enterprise etc.. )? Ensure CSB controls are in place for the IT data networkVendor Management? Maintain a good relationship with Technology suppliers & partners? Ensure the vendors? compliance with contractual agreements & VF policiesKey performance indicators:? Maintain network Availability above 99.95%? Meet agreed operational SLAs (MTTR, etc..)? Deliver projects on time & within budgetRole RequirementsCore competencies, knowledge and experience:? Excellent communication and leadership skills? Very good analytical skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity? High passion for customers? Proven experience in the project management of complex projects.Must have technical / professional qualifications: ? Must be Proficient in English? BSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer science? More than 8 years of experience in IT or Telecom industry? Solid Knowledge of IP networking (LAN/WAN) , Data Centres architecture , Applications load balancing, Software Defined networking? Professional certifications in IP networking & service management is a plus (CCIE , ITIL, etc.)Direct reports: 9 Data network Engineers , 3 Technicians
