Job Description

  • Decontamination of soiled instruments and equipment returned to CSSD from all Patient Care Areas.
  • Wraps, Disinfect/Sterilize trays, instruments and supplies, utilizing appropriate quality control and labeling systems.
  • Has the knowledge of proper methods of sterilization, including loading and running of autoclave.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies, stocks and rotates stored supplies, dispenses supplies per requisition and records changes.˙
  • Inventories and stocks exchange carts, and delivers cart to appropriate nursing units.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of CSSD equipment, policies and procedures.˙Understands and follows instructions.˙Conscientious with regard to procedures.
