Pargo is a Cape Town based smart logistics company on a mission to build Africas leading last-mile delivery solution through its tech enabled network of access points. Pargo allows consumers, companies and couriers to send, receive, return and pay for parcels at Pargo points located at convenient retail stores. Currently Pargo has over 3000 pickup points, servicing 87% of the postal codes in South Africa and growing constantly. With the rise of ecommerce across the continent, the demand for affordable and reliable delivery continues to increase. Having seen exponential growth in South Africa, Pargo is expanding into new markets which face similar challenges. In the next few months Pargo will start the pilot phase in Egypt and is looking for a strong leader to steer the market entry process and lay the foundation for scale.Scope of the Role :We are looking for a high performing entrepreneur to tackle the main challenge Egyptian ecommerce companies face today: last mile delivery. You will be responsible for leading Pargo Egypt through the stages of start-up to scale-up beginning with the entry into Egypt and a successful pilot phase. We are looking for somebody that is passionate about solving problems, is ambitious in their goals and relentless in their execution. This energetic leader will be responsible for building a high performance team aligned with the stage of market entry and will be accountable for the overall performance of Pargo Egypt. The role will require an active approach led by somebody that is not afraid to get their hands dirty. We are looking for a proactive leader, energized by getting things done with a high level of extreme ownership - A person that leads from the front as opposed to sitting back. Previous experience with starting and growing a business is beneficial. Roles and responsibilities :* Lead, refine and deliver on the market entry strategy for Egypt * Establish and nurture key partnerships with local Egyptian partners including clients, courier partners and pickup point partners * Build a high performing team * Set up the processes and structures to enable growth in Egypt * Lead, direct, and control the business development and operations activities in Egypt * Own the country P&L with the initial focus on managing the key success factors related to the business case to progress from a pilot phase into a full commercial launch. * Own the biggest client and partner relationships and implement feedback mechanisms to further improve Pargos technology solution and value proposition.
