Job Description

National_Cleaning SupervisorROLE PURPOSE:Ensure a safe, clean and functional environment for our visitors and co-workers.˙Maintain the building high level of hygiene, non-selling furniture, interior and exterior˙in ?shape as new? to promote the image and brand of IKEA.˙KEY ROLE SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:˙

  • Drive the soft services agenda in the store.
  • work with the appropriate managers to reduce the potential of future occurrences and escalate issues where appropriate, related to soft services management
  • Maintain efficient cleaning plans for the store with various service providers
  • Ensure that all third parties are aware about store soft services rules & manage the soft services service provider.
  • Develop and Update the soft services SOPs on a regular basis.
  • Ensue all provided cleaning services are economical (value Vs agreed budget).
  • Apply KPIS to suppliers & develop and improve 3rd party team skills
  • Manage sustainability achieving zero landfill
  • Handle the Invoicing and LPO issuing for soft services related materials.
  • Manage costs under the risk team and work with the Leadership Team to maximize efficiency of spend without impacting on levels of service to the customer of Safety standards
  • Contribute to IKEA development by supporting national expansion projects. To build key relationships with external bodies in order to champion IKEA within the local community
  • Reviewing & attendance of & Facilities meeting and drive the soft services agenda.
  • Survey soft services quality across the store and take corrective action according to findings.
  • Monitor soft services, waste management and pest control daily activities.
  • Revise and handling waste management technical reports.
  • Monitor quality of services provided by third parties through site inspections.
  • Provide feedback, report to management with opinions and suggestions.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the other departments, all third party contractors, suppliers and relevant Government departments.
  • Check and approve all drawings and technical material where required and give advice accordingly based on experience, research and expertise.
  • Participate in annual budget reviews and setting for Ops department.
  • Participate in the tender preparation and review for all soft services contracts.
  • Plan and forecast various soft services for new expansion projects.
  • Respond and co-operate with any Government requirements associated with sites to achieve the work required and ensure compliance with all government departments.
  • Support and backup the HSM in evacuation drills & safety matters
  • Build relationships & maintain good contacts with soft services consumables manufacturers and agents.
  • Drive waste management services and pest control services
  • Effectively manage and inspire team, with particular reference to their selection, training and development in order to ensure having a competent and well informed team to meet customer needs and expectations and have in place a workable and realistic succession plan
