This is your chance to make history.The MENA customer fulfillment team is looking for a Category Manager with a solid delivery record and project management experience to own strategic, tactical, and cross-functional sourcing programs within Amazon Logistics.Main responsibilities:In partnership with the Senior Capex Category Manager, the Category Manager (Capex/Construction) will provide end-to-end procurement category and operations support for the Capex requirements across MENA for Amazon fulfillment centers and delivery stations.

  • Develop a deep knowledge of Capex categories and procurement process in order to and align stakeholders to promote compliance and best practices.
  • Supervise and communicate sourcing activities with vendors for key capex requirements and supervise the tender process through to techno-commercial evaluation, post tender negotiation, contracting, purchase order and delivery.
  • Promote category strategies for the spend categories under management with a scalable and sustainable approach to commercial relationships with suppliers and communicate forward thinking and scalability with leadership.
  • Analyze historic spend data to support budget pricing calculations, catalogue adoption and negotiate and implement supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
  • Supervise KPI?s to measure, control and benchmark procurement activities including savings, project and contract trackers, spend under category strategy.
  • Align with internal customers such as Engineering, Facilities and Operations to understand and implement process improvements while maintaining a pipeline of projects.
  • Supervise a number of projects simultaneously, across various stakeholders and spend categories while being able to handle priorities effectively to support and achieve on time delivery of requirements and site launch dates.
  • Work in partnership both internally and with suppliers to develop innovative solutions to provide Procurement support to the Operations network
