Job Description

Technical Assistance Management, part of the Investment Management department, supports the Funds managed by Finance in Motion by designing, developing, and managing capacity building projects in favour of the partner institutions of the Funds and sector-level actors such as central banks, financial-sector networks, and business support organizations. Technical Assistance projects under management cover a diverse number of topical areas, extending for example credit analysis, risk management, energy efficiency, agricultural finance, and financial technologies/digitization. The primary area of activity will be in favour of Funds active in the MENA region: the SANAD Fund for MSME and the Green for Growth Fund.Key responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality technical assistance (TA) projects to the benefit of financial institutions (banks, leasing companies and microfinance institutions), sector and business support organisations, and other partners of the SANAD Fund covering the full project life-cycle:
  • Initiating and structuring TA projects in close collaboration with Investment Management colleagues including through the preparation of terms of reference (ToR);
  • Managing procurement processes for the selection and contracting of external service providers/consultants and coordination with local partners;
  • Operational management and administration of TA projects in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures and the respective TA Facility Policy;
  • Ensuring quality control and results/impact monitoring of TA projects, external providers and consultants;
  • Delivering timely and accurate data management, as well as provision of project reports, including ad-hoc technical reports and progress updates vis-?-vis planned activities and expected outputs;
  • Steering the monitoring of and learning from TA projects and feed learnings into improved TA offerings.
  • Ensure proper management of allocated project budgets and accounting documentation.
  • Ensure coordination within relevant working groups and with external parties.
  • Day-to-day administration, accounting, and reporting.
