AUC is an English-medium institution.The Department of Applied Linguistics at the American University in Cairo (AUC) is seeking to recruit an adjunct faculty member whose specialization is in the area of corpus linguistics. The selected candidate will teach a graduate course in corpus linguistics for students who are currently enrolled in Masters programs in TESOL and TAFL. While we are interested in a corpus linguist, candidates who do corpus-based research in L2 acquisition, language education, discourse analysis, computational linguistics, or any other related field are encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will be listed in a database of potential instructors who may be invited to teach part-time in subsequent semesters depending on departmental needs.Requirements:Commitment to teaching and engagement of students is expected. An active research or professional practice agenda related to the area of expertise is also required.
