Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. The ideal candidate should have at least 1-2 years of experience in the field of accounting. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting regulations. You will also be involved in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  2. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
  3. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  4. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  5. Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with accounting regulations
  6. Prepare and submit tax returns and other financial reports to regulatory authorities
  7. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making
  8. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting
  9. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices
  10. Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as required
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
  2. 1-2 years of experience in accounting or related field
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  7. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  9. Ability to work well in a team environment
  10. Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
