You will be involved in assessing the market, developing technology and products and generating intellectual property. We also take calculated risks and we celebrate big victories when they pay off.Responsibilities:What you?ll achieve:The Transport SW Developer will be a key member of a global creative team working in one of the most booming technologies 5G RAN. The team will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators and to help our customers to exploit this significant market evolution.You Will:

• Work with a cross functional global team to design, build and deliver production ready software with Dell standards.
• Participate in design and integration activities for Transport Network components in 5G RAN
• Understanding software requirements
• Interface with Platform, OAM, and other components that interact with Transport components
• Participate in all software verification/integration for Transport area
• Contribute to the definition of software regression test environments and test cases

You may also:

• Apply NFV and cloud system architecture
• Participate in ensuring consistent high standards across in-house design, contracted design work, third-party partnerships, and OEM solutions
• Develop based on engineer solutions aligned with 3GPP and O-RAN Alliance (O-RAN) specifications for 5G networks in the open RAN ecosystem

• Knowledge and experience in cloud and container solutions, standards, and implementations
• Desire to learn and innovate while building a quality product
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with C++ development and supporting tooling
• Some development experience with Linux-base systems and embedded-oriented design
• Understanding of Fronthaul, Midhaul and Backhaul in 5G RAN would be beneficial
• Experienced in integrating third-party software IP would be beneficial

Desirable Requirements:

• Understand and willing to work in an Agile environment
• Strong interest in learning networking, routing, IPv4, IPv6, IPSec, DHCP, SCTP & Precision Timing Protocol (PTP)
• Strong interest in 4G and 5G Radio and/or subsystems architecture, implementation, and ecosystem
