5G Software Automation Graduate InternFrom applied research to advanced engineering, Dell?s 5G R&D team is designing and developing ground-breaking products & solutions. You will be involved in assessing the market, developing technology and products and generating intellectual property. As part of our 5G team, you will work with a cross functional global team to design, build and deliver production ready software that aligns with Dell standards and reputation.You will:

• Work within a global agile team on building the 5G software test automation framework.
• Be part of the code reviewing process ensuring best practices are in place.
• Design and implement the testing approach for new 5G features aligning with the automation roadmap.
• Mentor other test and automation developers helping them to adhere to the common practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps team in different CI/CD activities.
• Work with other developers on resolving sanity bugs.
• Demonstrate newly built features to the project stakeholders.
• Get hands-on experience with different commercial 5G products and simulators.
• Working independently and as part of a Software Agile Development team.

• Very good programming and scripting skills (Python, Shell, bash), strong understanding of OOP concepts.
• Hands-on experience in Linux with different Distros.
• Strong debugging and triaging skills.
• Familiarity with the ROBOT automation framework.
• Understanding of Agile Software Development methodology, practices, and tools.
• Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of modern Software Quality Assurance methodologies and best of class industry practices.
• Hands-on knowledge of Github.
• Eagerness to learn and goal-oriented with a team-focused mentality.

Desirable Requirements:

• Familiarity with virtualization and containerization mechanisms.
• Ability to read connectivity diagrams and experience with networking protocols.
• Knowledge of the 3GPP LTE, 5GNR technologies and 3GPP specification.
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts.
• Familiarity with Jenkins/Jira.
