5G Platform Testing & Automation EngineerFrom applied research to advanced engineering, Dell?s 5G R&D team is designing and developing ground-breaking products & solutions. You will be involved in assessing the market, developing technology and products and generating intellectual property. We also take calculated risks and we celebrate big victories when they pay off.Responsibilities:What you?ll achieve:As a 5G Platform Testing & Automation Engineer, you will be part of the team building Dell?s 5G Platform for RAN Software with optimal performance. As part of our 5G team, you will work in collaboration with multiple 5G engineering teams around the world.You will:

  • Review and analyze different Platform functional and non-functional requirements and define test plan for them.
  • Work with the team for definition of environments requirements for execution of different levels of testing.
  • Perform requirement traceability to ensure testing coverage of different features & requirements and measure automation coverage within.
  • Implement and execute functional & non-functional tests including different system performance tests and OS cyclic tests and build automation roadmap within the team.
  • Report bugs and errors and follow through to resolution as a member of the overall 5G product team

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Comfortable with Linux environment (system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols, troubleshooting) and bash/shell scripting
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of modern Software Quality Assurance methodologies and best of class industry practices
  • Very good programming and scripting skills (C++,Python, Shell, bash)
  • Good knowledge of Container Technologies (Dockers, Kubernetes) and Containers Network Interface.
  • Network?s basics (TCP/IP stack, networking, security)
Desirable Requirements:
  • Familiar with Agile Software Development methodology, practices, and tools
  • Knowledge of the 3GPP LTE and 5GNR technologies and 3GPP specification
  • Knowledge of the 5G ORAN specs is a plus
