Job duties? Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services? Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle? Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.? Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities. Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists? Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials? Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and freight forwarders? Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes? Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements.? Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency? Resolve any arising problems or complaints? Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets? Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service? Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers.? Train and evaluate others? Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements? Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements? Reports to General Manager
