Job Description

As a manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring a safe laboratory environment Coordinating the daily activities of the laboratory to ensure accurate and timely completion of testing; prioritizing testing based on business needs and departmental goals
  • Overseeing and administering the laboratory testing programs
  • Review all material and work process submissions prior to submission to the client.
  • Delegating appropriately and promoting independence, decision making, and accountability within the company team
  • Maintaining accurate laboratory records for compliance with retention and data recording procedures in accordance with ISO and IQAS accreditation and other regulations
  • Communicating key issues to CEO and Senior Management Team
  • Assessing the current demands on laboratory services
  • Maintaining calibration records and standards and other appropriate standards where applicable
  • Revising and developing laboratory work standards/procedures to stay current with scientific developments, customer, and business needs
  • Understanding of Specification and Contract requirements to ensure works executed to correct standards
  • Supporting performance management activities and site development efforts to enhance the talent capability and providing ongoing personal development of staff
  • Training laboratory workforce on current IQAS, ISO, and standard test methods and procedures; maintaining training records
  • Working with operations providing technical assistance to identify, investigate and resolve process discrepancies
  • Implementing quality systems and processes and developing and implementing quality management system performance
  • Collecting information to comply with regulatory requirements
