Job Description

Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Riyadh office:HR Manager Saudi Arabia and BahrainWhat can you expectUnder the guidance of the EMEA Regional Director, and in cooperation with the Senior People Partners for the Middle East Region, the HR Manager will coach, support, and advise MMC People Managers based in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain aiming to develop and enhance the quality of people management throughout the colleague lifecycle.The HR Manager will also be key to the deployment and adoption of new processes or initiatives which are aimed at People Managers. The successful candidate will need to understand and reflect the local market perspective whilst respecting the value of enterprise-wide alignment where appropriate.The HR Manager will also provide valuable insights to the Centers of Expertise (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management) which will inform the development and prioritization of initiatives, programs and project designed for colleagues and/or People Managers.We will count on you to:

  • Provide guidance and support to People Managers across the full range of activities in the HR portfolio, including:
Colleague performance management, skills and competence development and learning.Communications, change management and organizational effectivenessCompensation, benefits, and total rewardsLeave, absence and related topics, including return-to-work accommodationsEmployee relations matters including performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions
  • Support, and from time to time, take the responsibility for coordinating the rollout and delivery of HR programs in the Middle East Region and contribute to process improvements
  • Provide local business or country insights to inform COEs or People Partners who may be developing strategic solutions to support workforce planning, succession, or performance management
  • During organizational restructuring activities, coordinate necessary activities to support People Managers and affected colleagues including planning and execution of consultations with colleagues about changes affecting roles or terms of employment
  • In cooperation with the central Project management team, support the transition of the HR shared service team, payroll activities, preparation of relevant documents and forms related to employees life cycle and benefits administration and enrollment
  • Act as central point of contact in the Country for all HR maters, ensuring coordination with the HR Service and Talent Acquisition professionals present in Country, as well as with the wider team in the region and globally
What you need to have:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in HR
  • Fluency in English and Arabic
  • Demonstrated ability to coach People Managers effectively at all levels of the business through all steps of the employee life-cycle including in more complex situations
  • Experience in working in a matrix and in a multinational organization
  • The ability to identify opportunities to make improvements to the service provided by People Managers by the HR team
  • Experience of successfully supporting project/initiative implementation across a population of managers recognizing the broader business objectives and perspectives across multiple business lines
  • Experience in supporting managers with employee relations case management
  • Thorough understanding of local laws, regulation and company policies and HR processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to connect with colleagues in business and in wider HR including CoEs and People Partners when required
