The Consultant of NICU will be mainly involved in the care of neonatal patients in need of intensive care and will also be part of the team of physicians evaluating, managing and treating patients within LDR whenever in need of resuscitation/ urgent critical care. They will also be called to contribute to the work shift in the general OPD Clinics belonging to the Unit. He/she will report daily to the Head of Sub-Unit about the most recent or serious cases in the sub-unit/ward. The Consultant will attend periodic meetings with the Chief of Unit, surgeons and other specialists to evaluate which cares and procedures perform for the different patients. They will apply all the procedure to minimize the risk of infections in accordance with Infection Prevention and Control Service and Quality & Safety Department.
