Job Description

Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies in line with relevant laws and regulations.Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and assess potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.Accident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Employee Guidance: Advise management and employees on health, safety, and environmental concerns, and support them in maintaining safe practices.Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments, analyze potential hazards, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.Training Programs: Develop and deliver health and safety training programs, including new employee orientation and refresher courses.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all health and safety activities, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.Hazardous Waste Management: Identify hazardous waste and ensure its proper disposal in accordance with environmental regulations.Safety Promotion: Promote and implement safety initiatives across the organization to raise awareness and improve overall safety culture.Compliance Management: Compile and maintain relevant registers, such as risk registers and incident logs, to ensure compliance with safety standards.Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect machinery, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safe operation.Documentation & Reporting: Document staff health and safety information and prepare reports for management on safety performance, incident statistics, and compliance metrics.
