and Responsibilities of FIREMANThe day-to day responsibilities of the selected Fireman would include but not limited to:•Day-to-day operation and user-maintenance of the fire tender;•Quick deployment and utilisation of the fire tender for fighting in the event of emergency;•Conduct preventive maintenance checks on specific fire-related equipment across the plant, using available checklists;•Maintain records of emergency equipment under his scope. Notify his superior when any of the equipment is defective or require third party inspection and follow-up till the actions are taken;•Prepare reports on weekly and monthly activities using the available templates;•Adhere to plant emergency procedures and in his capacity, encourage others to follow;•Attend fire alarm calls, respond to standby requests during fire risk-critical activities;•Assist Head of EHS in purchasing fire related safety equipment by notifying his superior of what items to replace or procure afresh;•Provide internal training related to emergency response and fire prevention;•Actively participate in emergency drills•Coordinate with the ERT to provide quick response at the scene during an emergency;•Comply with all local laws, company protocols and EHS obligations.•Inspect and maintain fire hydrants, hose reels, fire extinguishers, emergency eyewash and showers, life buoys, spill kits and other emergency equipment.Qualification, Experience and General Requirement:•The ideal candidate shall be a male, physically-fit individual between 30-50 years of age.•Intermediate level in English language (both oral and written).•He should be computer-literate, with intermediate level in MS Office (especially in MS Word and Excel).•He should possess valid Qatar driver’s license for light and heavy (truck) vehicles.•Previous experience on Angloco-Scania fire tender is required;•Must be able to use a broad range of modern equipment for firefighting and rescue;•Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Fireman is a MUST in an industrial Fire-fighter environment or Civil Defence.•He should be able to demonstrate technical skills including fire tender operation, setting-up rescue equipment, SCBA, use of applicable protective gears, other relevant skills.•He should be a qualified first aider (CPR with AED) level;•Post-secondary school education is required;•Successfully completed Basic Fire Fighter & Breathing apparatus Wearer Course.•Medical & Workmen compensation Insurance will be provided.•Immediate joining after the interviews, so source candidates who are willing to accept the salary and ready to join immediately.General Information:Please send all documents in following sequence of attachment since we are unable to process in absence of incomplete documents & information.
