Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Senior Social Mobilization Officer will be responsible for community enhancement of the project space management, and exit plan as well as direct coordination of project objectives, and activities with the community around the project sites. S/he is responsible for supporting the project manager in overseeing the delivery of the awareness campaigns and ??friends of the park?? committees in selected areas in East Amman, Jordan. In addition to the above the responsibility under this position will include ensuring the quality of sustainability training materials, timely implementation of these trainings, and monitoring activities.ObjectivesSupport the Project Manager to apply the CfW SoPs and ensure the overall success of the project, seeing that outputs are delivered on time, on scope, on budget, within acceptable quality levels, and in line with donor requirements and based on beneficiary needs, also to ensure successful delivery of sustainability training and awareness sessions and enhance community ownership toward the project by efficient communication, meetings, and awareness campaigns.Duties and Responsibilities1.Support the PM in external engagement with Government authorities, MoL, and CBOs.2.Support the PM to implement and oversee the ACTED / CfW activities.3.Create and design training materials and communication tools to increase community awareness toward project sustainability, ownership, and participation, through dedicated CfWs, in direct contact with project beneficiaries, residents around the project sites, schools, CBOs and Friend of Park committees.4.Conduct training for CFW workers.5.In coordination with Project Manager and in line with donor requirements, ensure solid community mobilization practices are in place in the area around ACTED project sites.6.To assist the Project Manager in completing the space management plan and matrix and update whenever needed, and Responsible for induction, initiation of the friend for the park committee for each site location, meeting, follow up, and reporting.7.Propose solutions to the specified social issues related to the project.8.Close Coordination with other relevant ACTED staff such as Project Engineers, MEAL, HR, Logistics, and security for any specific project issues link with the community.9.Prepare weekly reports outlining project activities.10.Represent ACTED in meetings with relevant project stakeholders and actors after the project Manager?s consent. Support Project Manager in coordination & Communication of project success stories and the impact of ACTED intervention in the intervention area.11.Any other reasonable duties, as requested by line manager.Cash For Work Implementation (WHEN Needed):1.Conduct the CFW inductions for all cycles.2.Ensure that all necessary CFW documentation, including CfW contracts, attendance sheets, and payment sheets are accurate and ready in a timely manner.3.Assist the Project Manager and the project team with CfW participant selection ahead of each CfW cycle, following CfW regulations, and facilitating the local community and authorities for selection of the CFW participants.4.Support and monitor the Daily and Monthly attendance sheets for the CFW?s.5.Cooperate with ACTED MEAL to ensure that all project CfW activities, including trainers Post employment surveys, are well monitored according to the agreed MEAL framework.Project planning/reporting 1.Support the PM to prepare the work plans/schedules for the field teams.2.Support the PM to prepare the Project Management Framework (PMF) monthly and to review the Budget Follow-Up (BFU) as requested.3.Contribute to the drafting of monthly project reports in coordination with the Project Development (PD) department as directed by the PM.4.Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to the PM.5.Participate in communication activities through the regular collection of pictures and stories related to project activities.6.Operate following the ?do no harm principles? to ensure projects are safe for communities.7.Collect and apply appropriate lessons learned and best practices to current projects, and ensure these lessons learnt are pro-actively shared with supervisor, the AMEU and other team members to apply them in future project development processes.Transparency and Inclusion1.Support the appropriate, achievable, and acceptable selection of project beneficiaries.2.Adhere to the project communication strategy with communities to provide factual, objective, and actionable information to project stakeholders.3.Help to ensure project stakeholders are empowered to participate throughout the project cycle.4.Support the inclusion of people with specific needs (PwSN) in the project wherever possible, in coordination with the PM and ACTED inclusion focal point.ÿCoordination (internal/external)1.Participate in regular project team meetings, in Amman and the governorates.2.Encourage and support the field teams to refer unmet needs to other relevant actors, through ACTED referral mechanism, in coordination with the PM and Accountability Officer3.Help to ensure that project stakeholders have a good image of ACTED thus increasing the acceptance of ACTED?s presence and activities in the project implementation area.4.Build a strong communication mechanism between ACTED and the community.5.To represent ACTED activities, project objectives and goals to community and other local stakeholders with support of PM.Human Resources1.Manage and Participate in the CfW recruitment process for each park and interview them and manage the database and CFW selection in coordination withÿCfW/Data entry Officer .2.Ensure that project staff under your responsibility understand and can perform their roles and responsibilities.3.Follow-up the work plans and day-to-day activities of the project staff under your responsibility4.Help to ensure, through your actions and leadership, a positive working environment and good team dynamics.5.Participate in regular appraisals of the staff under your line management.6.Address interpersonal conflicts at the field level as needed and ensure that issues are reported to the PM in a timely manner.Logistics and Security1.Send accurate and precise order forms to logistics in a timely manner.2.Help to ensure that the project team has adequate assets necessary for performing its duties.3.Adhere to always ACTED security procedures.Others:Any Other Tasks requested by Line manager in line with projects requirements.
