Duties and Responsibilities5.1??????Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department/division.5.2??????Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for patients for whom he/she is responsible.5.3??????Carries out full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical duties as??????assigned by the Director of Medicine / Consultant Physician in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.5.4??????Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department/division.5.5??????Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care as applicable.5.6????Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties?????with regard to continuing medical education.5.7??????Participates in the conduct of approved research projects.5.8???Deputizes for his superior as required and shares workload in his????specialty during the absence of his colleagues.5.9??????Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice???with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness.5.10????Participates in the Major Disaster Plan of the hospital, as indicated.5.11????Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities. Provide the highest standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsible.5.12????Manage the more junior staff in the department in the performance of???their clinical duties and specific training programs.5.13????Initiate evaluation and treatment of patients; modify evaluation and?????treatment of patients begun by junior staff in furtherance of the highest quality of patient care.5.14????Participate in the management of the department and the planning of???developments.5.15????Participate in research and the full range of on-call duties.
