Duties and Responsibilities5.1????Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department.5.2?Provides the highest attainable standard of diagnostic examinations.5.3??Responsible for the implementation of Radiation Protection Procedures.5.4?Responsible for consultation with medical staff on the Radiological Investigation of their patients in order to decide whether any examination is appropriate or necessary.5.5????Rotates through each imaging sub-specialty as required by the Head of Dept. and is expected to have sufficient breadth of training to undertake this rotation.?5.6?Will be required to chair or organize clinical/radiological meetings and attend all departmental meetings.?5.7?Participates in the on-call duties as required by the Head Department.?5.8??Provides in-service lectures as required by Head of?????Department,?either theoretically or practically regarding the basic radiological approach on the job.5.9???Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (Total Quality Management Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable.?5.10??Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education.5.11??Participates in and/or actively supports approved research projects.?5.12??Serves on hospital committees as required.?5.13??Deputizes for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues.5.14??Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness.?5.15?Participates in the Major Disaster Plan of the hospital, as indicated.?5.16??Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities.
