Perform regular preventive maintenance and assigned mechanical repair.Perform component overhaul (engine, transmission, differential, brakes, steering etc).Perform minor electrical repairs.Perform minor troubleshootingRecord details of faulty mechanical parts covered by warranty in technical report and get approval from foreman/supervisor.Return defective parts covered under warranty with proper tagging and details of vehicle information to Technical and Warranty Department.Provide estimate of parts and work required in case of accident repair.Assist other technicians and provide technical advice and information to others as needed.Fill out parts requirement for assigned job, seek approval on parts requisition forms from Workshop Foreman and collect parts from store.Follow the guidelines on ensuring cleanliness of customer vehicle during service operations using protective materials.Any other tasks as directed the Foreman/SupervisorComply with quality standards and health and safety procedure.Inform the workshop foreman/supervisor for any additional work required and obtain approval.Inform Workshop Foreman and Workshop Controller in case of parts non availabilityWrite the complete details of work performed in the repair order.Communicate and follow-up parts ordered with Parts Department.Understand and implement new MMC/MFTBC systems or processes related to all mechanical operations in order to improve service quality.Ensure high individual efficiency and productivity and constantly seek to enhance technical knowledge in different automotive systems.Contribute to the department?s development by providing timely suggestions and feedback.Constantly apply Kaizen.
