Job Description

The main purpose of the job is to teach and provide practical training in Mechanical Technology subjects (Welding Technology, Pipe Fitting, Brazing and Soldering, Metal Work etc.) to trainees and to manage/lead in all workshop activities. In addition, it is also required to prepare lesson plans, class notes and workshop assignments for trainees.Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver training solutions and or personally conduct training programs in areas of expertise to ensure that training is delivered to meet an individual?s needs.
  2. Manage Workshop stores for the inventory of tools and equipment.
  3. Assess and evaluate the overall training approach and methodologies used to ensure the desired learning outcomes are achieved.
  4. Provide coaching and guidance to the trainees to enhance the learning and development of the trainee?s knowledge, skills, and attitude.
  5. Collects and analyzes data on trainee performance and generates a report to the Department Leader.
  6. Use resources, routines, and procedures to provide a respectful, positive, safe, trainee-centered environment that is conducive to learning.
  7. Maintain a commitment to professional ethics, communicates effectively, and takes responsibility for and participates in professional growth that results in enhanced trainee learning.
