Assess patient s vital signs, neuro vital signs & respiratory status, identify patient s needs and formulate care plans necessary to meet those needs.
Continuously monitor and record patients vital signs.
Collect and file laboratory and other diagnostic results.
Monitor and document patients fluid intake and output.
Provide and manage patient health education.
Ensure confidentiality of information pertaining to patient care and documents at all times.
Make decisions about the priority of care in life-threatening and nonthreatening life situations.
Coordinate and implements the plan of care with the scope of service
Anticipate, prevent and prepare for and intervenes in life-threatening situations. Manages multi therapies in the context of ever-changing patient needs.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions within the appropriate time frame, revising therapies as necessary to achieve expected outcomes.
Prepare and maintain the cleanliness of patient s area. Decontaminates medical equipment after every use and as per hospital standards.
Care and maintains all central and peripheral catheters and all drains.
Administer routine medications including inotropes, sedations and paralyzing agents as per protocol.
