Systems EngineerAlexandria, Virginia (Hybrid) / Systems Engineering / Full time Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) is looking for a talented and motivated Systems Engineer that is passionate about technology and the mission of our customers to join our team! The candidate must be self-motivated, a quick learner, and able to balance simultaneous tasks to keep pace with our team of high performers. The Systems Engineer shall perform detailed system engineering and will be directly involved in various system design and requirements generation/maintenance of legacy and emerging U.S. Army software baselines. You will also actively participate in Scrum project teams and meetings. You will be responsible for working with a highly functional team developing, integrating, testing, and deploying custom solutions to the clients hardware baselines and maintaining legacy and new versions of the system and its subsystems. Other responsibilities will include working with the team, including integrators, to define system requirements and effort estimates related to satisfying said requirements.Responsibilities+ Plans and performs engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering, and customer specifications+ Responsible for major technical/engineering projects of higher complexity and importance+ Coordinates the activities of engineers assigned to specific engineering projects; and may perform other duties as assigned+ Develops and manage systems level requirements, develop operational systems concepts, originating design concepts or performing systems level integration and test for highly complex systems+ Review architecture designs and plans and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders and team personnel+ Interacts with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design+ Contribute to the Planning and Requirements phases of the development life cycle, ensuring designs are in compliance with specifications+ Recommend changes to improve established application processes+ Provide technical support and consultation for systems engineering questions+ Produce white papers as requiredQualifications+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field5+ years of relevant experience+ Strong understanding of systems architectures, system design, employment of systems and dependent sub-systems, systems administration, and system networking+ Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, and other DevOps/Continuous Integration ? Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools+ Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores+ Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems+ Background in requirements analysis, design, and coding methodologies, DoD software policies; and DoD test and evaluation requirements+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small team+ Thoroughly understands software engineering and programming for large computer and minicomputer and microprocessor systems supporting broad base of applicationsClearance+ US Citizenship with willingness and ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance requiredWho We AreReinventing Geospatial, Inc.
